The purpose and goal of Wheatland Salem is to create a positive Christian environment in which learning is fun and rewarding. The first five years of life is a time of significant growth and change. Using the Illinois State Board of Education Core Curriculum, daily activities are planned using the Illinois Early Learning Standards as a benchmark to include developmentally appropriate learning experiences that will best prepare students for a successful future. Our goal is to expand the child's social experience in the world of peer relations within a school setting and provide new and/or different experiences that enhance intellectual and physical development.
Wheatland Salem Christian Academy offers Half-day preschool (9-11:30 a.m.) or an Extended Day program for 4-year olds and 3-year olds from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
- The Half-day preschool classes are offered as 2, 3, or 4 day sessions.
- The Extended-day classes are offered as 2, 3, 4 or 5 day sessions.
Preschool classes begin after Labor Day with a "Meet and Greet" session for parent and child, and the school concludes the week before Memorial Day.
