Wheatland Academy

Preschool and Kindergarten are very important milestones in your child’s life. Your child’s experience in early childhood education is critical. This bond with a school environment establishes a relationship that builds a foundation for learning and growing through his or her school years.

NEW for 2013-2014: 5 day Pre-K session available

Our goal at Wheatland Salem Christian Academy is to inspire and develop a sense of wonder about learning that engages your son or daughter in many facets of their education and development.

Working with families as a partner in this important time in your child’s life is imperative. When a bond with the school, teacher and parent is established, it makes the child feel safe, confident and now opens a new world to learning. The bond to school and teachers is strengthened when the individual needs of a child are addressed and the child feels the environment is caring, safe and interesting.

Musikgarten classes are available for children age 15 months to 5 years old. These classes provide children with the opportunity to experience music by using the whole body. Each class will include singing, instrument playing, moving and listening. The children learn to focus on a sound, even for a short time. Our repertoire of songs is built around folk literature, which has stood the test of time and engages kids on many levels. We also work on social skills during class: sharing and taking turns are key skills in learning to cooperate. Sessions are 30 minutes long, and enrollment is ongoing through the year. Call today, 630.904.7035 and see what fun your child will have in MUSIKGARTEN!
